| Geranium oil has a sweet rose-like scent with a claming and balancing temperament. |
| For a change I will adopt a different approach and provide information based more on my own personal experience. |
| I associate Geranium with happiness. It is a good oil to use if you are feeling depleted or need to regain control of your life. |
| Alcohol content of the oils. The same blend can be used at home, dispersed in bath water, between treatments. I also have one client with asthma who finds aromatherapy massage using a blend of Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) and Geranium particularly helpful. |
| In addition, some clients who have suffered from breast congestion for many years (and without a suitable allopathic remedy) have found lymphatic drainage massage using both Geranium and Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis) has provided fast and quite immense relief. |
| Other clients have found Geranium, appropriately blended with Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) and Rosemary, very good in their fight against cellulite. Regular massage combined with the use of a gel including the same blend between treatments seems to work best. |
| Geranium is a good oil to use as a room fragrance. It provides a very tranquil, relaxing and mentally uplifting atmosphere. It appears to be a neutral but key regulator. The fragrance is persistent so a little goes a long way. Geranium does have anti-microbial properties, consequently, particularly when vaporized or used in the bath, this oil may help relief some nasal and/or bronchial ailments. |
| Geranium is a versatile oil which I think blends particularly well with Chamomile (Roman), Cypress, Frankincense, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Rose, Sandalwood and Vetiver. |
| SAFETY : Used appropriately for aromatherapy this oil is considered non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitising. |
